Marisa Ulrich is a self-taught artist and writer. As a late-diagnosed AUDHD in an “alphabet soup” family of awesome neurodivergents, she has honed what she once called her “weird” style into a unique platform to share her experiences and observations, seeking to challenge the world's perspectives on society, especially for people on the autism spectrum, ADHD and and the like. Her work features a lot of charcoal, oil crayon, and occasional dips into acrylic. Residing in a great old fixer-upper in Pretty Prairie, Marisa is married to the handyman of her dreams. They are parents of four children, three grown and one teen. Three rascally dogs, homeschooling, lots of baking and church keeps life hopping. Keep up with her work on Instagram:

“Join J Wheelz for a night of acoustic music, jokes, and stories. Every time we gather at the Metropolitan Coffee Shop, it’s like gathering around the campfire without the fire (they frown on that inside the building). Come warm up with a cup of coffee instead, and enjoy some of the latest and greatest that J Wheelz is jammin’! This is a free event, but limited merch will be available and tips are welcome to support the artist. Hope to see you there!”

New at the Metro are the sounds of Spencer and his wife. They describe their style below:
“We are an acoustic folk pop duo that enjoys performing a mix of meaningful acoustic covers as well as original songs. Our sometimes mellow dramatic, other times uplifting and energetic sound demonstrates the diverse musical and personal background experiences that bring us both to the point where we are today, and the excitement of where it might take us in the future. From chanting timeless classics with our friends to sharing songs we just finished writing last week, we play, write, and perform to connect with those around us, making the world a little bit smaller, one melody at a time.”
Make sure to drop in on Saturday and support local music!
The good vibes are happening at Metro tonight with the tunes being provided by Ryan Brooks and Sontia Soul. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday evening than listening to great music and sipping a really tasty Metro drink. See you there! #metrocoffeehutch #metrocoffee
